Short video from Teddy’s shop, all the cars preppin’ on heading out to Wekfest LA 2024. Definitely an honor shooting these JDM builds as some of these were something I grew up with. Seeing older Civics built in this way surely encapsulates the soul of street racing. Makes me wish I took that ride-along with my friend’s older brother’s s2k back in middle school…

And this thumbnail. Screams Southern California. If that doesn’t, I’m not sure what does!

I’ve put this edit on the back burner for too long so it was time to finish the video. After looking through the footage, I realize there was a lot of work that needed to be done considering it was a time of getting use to the Ronin S. Took almost a year to get this video out lol but it’s done. I’ll be reshooting this car again in the future as there’s many changes that’s happened within that year!

A quick photo & video shoot for Andy’s S2k CR. Timing was a bit critical as there was a storm coming in and the winds were getting extremely chilly. On top of that, it’s been a while since I’ve filmed at night but it was some great practice, especially the passenger POV sections. (I’ll upload a full uncut version of the “drive” lol. Enjoy this edit and be sure to check out Andy’s page!

This mall plays a major role in my childhood. Met most of my friends here, unpacked a Japanese Team Rocket booster pack to find a holographic dark Mewtwo, almost died eating a jollirancher as a kid, ate more pizza and spent endless amount of time playing pokemon on my GameBoy while waiting for my mom to finish shopping.

The mall use to be so packed that it was so difficult to find any seating at the food court area and after seeing it that day I shot all this footage….really gave me an eerie feeling inside mixed with depression but at the same time I wanted to capture the moments of where people once use to roam. Where maybe a couple held their first hands or maybe a kid got an upsize slurpee for free cause the shop ran out of regular cups.

According to some of the workers there, by 2025 is when the mall will completely shut down. The time I went to visit was February 11, 2024. So if you’re in the area, go visit while you still can. Words of caution, some areas smell of urine and there are some homeless people starting to waltz around the mall to find an area to sleep.

Manage to visit the mall just a couple days before it’s actual closing date. Seeing the state it was in at the time was mind-boggling and I wanted to capture as much as I could with what was still around and showcase the decay of the generational aspect of “going to the mall.” It was quite depressing seeing all the stores gone as it was nearly a ghost town but had a handful of people still visiting.

This was one of the first malls I could remember visiting frequently as a child with my parents. Sbarro pizza was once located at this mall and will forever be a memory of my introduction to my love of pizza.
